2011 Dennis Yacht Club Boating Safety Course

The Environmental Police and the Harbormaster will again be running a course for Junior Certification to drive a motorboat. All Juniors between 12–15 years of age are required by law to have a certificate to drive a motorboat. This course is open to all individuals 10 years or older (although no certificate is awarded if under 12 years of age, there is space in the class for them to learn). It is worthwhile no matter if your child has or intends to drive a motorboat because it teaches overall safety around boating and the water. 

Class Schedule:

Class 1: Tuesday, July 12: 4-6pm

Class 2: Thursday, July 14: 4-6pm

Class 3: Tuesday, July 19: 4-6pm

Class 4: Thursday, July 21: 4-6pm

Class 5: Tuesday, July 26: 4-6pm

The Course Covers:

~ Overall Safety Around Boats and the Water

~ Proper Motorboat Operation

~ Safe Personal Water Craft (Jet Ski) Operation
