PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

 To create a fun daily tennis program which will offer lessons to new, intermediate and advanced players incorporating lesson instruction, skill competition and round robin play.  To continue to develop the DYC inter-club tennis team(s), and to create an environment for all members that will encourage development, daily play and support the love of the game. LESSON SCHEDULE:

SESSION 1:   JUNE 28-JULY 23, 2010

SESSION 2:   JULY 26-AUGUST 6, 2010

SESSION 3:   AUGUST 9-AUGUST 20, 2010

LESSON CATEGORIES/SCHEDULE OPTIONS:

LITTLE TYKES, ages 3-4 year olds, (limited to 8/class)

This class will introduce our youngest members to the game of tennis.

Lessons will be offered three mornings a week for 45 minutes a class.

Class will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00-9:45.

The cost of session 1: $200 for the 4-week session

The cost of session 2: $100 for the 2-week session

The cost of session 3: $100 for the 2-week session

BEGINNER PROGRAM, ages 5-6 year olds, (limited to 10/class)

This class is designed to continue the development of younger players through repetitive strokes, skill games and a basic understanding of terminology.

Lessons will be offered three mornings a week, for an hour a class.

Lessons will be 10:00-11:00 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The cost of session 1 (three lessons/week):    $240 for the 4-week session

The cost of session 2 (three lessons/week):    $120 for the 2-week session

The cost of session 3 (three lessons/week):    $120 for the 2-week session

JUNIOR PROGRAM, ages 7-9, (limited to 12/class)

This class is designed to focus on stoke techniques, game strategy and game play.

Lessons will be offered three times a week, for an hour a class.

Lessons will be 11:00-12:00 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The cost of session 1 (three lessons/week):    $280 for the 4-week session

The cost of session 2 (three lessons/week):    $140 for the 2-week session

The cost of session 3 (three lessons/week):    $140 for the 2-week session

DYC TENNIS TEAM, (limited to 12 players)

This program is designed to allow kids ages 10+ to play in inter-club matches.

Team players are required to have 50% accuracy with serves and a basic knowledge of match scoring.

Team practices will be offered two times a week, for 1 1/2 hours.

All inter-club matches will take place on Fridays. A final schedule will be posted in June.

Practices will be held 11-12:30 Tuesday’s and Thursday’s.

The cost of session 1 (two lessons/week & 4 match fees):    $260 for the 4-week session

The cost of session 2 (two lessons/week & 2 match fees):     $130 for the 2-week session

The cost of session 3 (two lessons/week & 2 match fees):     $130 for the 2-week session

 LESSON REGISTRATION:

This summer registration for lessons and team will take place on-line. Lessons will automatically be charged to your DYC account.

Please complete the on-line registration form provided. On-line registrations will be accepted beginning  June 4th, 2010.

REFUND POLICY:

 A 50% REFUND will be given to families of students who begin session 1 and decided they do not like it. Refunds will only be given for session 1. A refund will be granted if the tennis committee is contacted the first week of lessons.

No REFUNDS will be given after the first week of session 1, or for sessions 2 and 3.

TENNIS ATTIRE:

Please ensure appropriate clothing is worn on the courts. No bathing suits.

Tennis sneakers and/or appropriate footwear are required.

A DYC logo polo shirt will be provided to each DYC Team member taking lessons and playing in club matches.

 LADIES CARDIO/ROUND ROBIN PLAY

Bill will offer two cardio classes and a “NEW” Ladies Round Robin weekly.

Cardio classes will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-10:30.

Classes are $20/member & $22/guest.

Round Robin play will be offered Thursdays, 4-5.

Matches are $15/member and $18/guest.

COURT CARE/ PROPERTY LOSS AND DAMAGE POLICY:

 All members are expected to treat DYC tennis courts, surrounding areas and property appropriately. Misuse and/or mistreatment may result in the loss of court privileges.
